Nexo is a digital newspaper, launched in November 2015, with the aim of bringing context to the news and expanding access to data and statistics. Always in an innovative way and based on broad and thought-provoking content, its editorial production privileges the rigor and quality of information.

Since its foundation, Nexo's main motivation has been to produce journalism that contributes to a qualified and plural public debate, and that is capable of strengthening Brazilian democracy.

Its editorial principles are balance, clarity and transparency.

Through balance, the newspaper seeks to be a credible source of information, capable of dialoguing with the most diverse perspectives, social and political groups, even if antagonistic.

With clarity, it intends to connect the audience's immediate interest to complex facts of relevance.

Transparency guarantees a new relationship of trust and interaction with your audience.

All the possibilities of the digital platform are explored with a unique approach, using a diversity of formats such as infographics, interactive materials, videos and podcasts, putting the user experience at the center of production.

Nexo is an independent initiative, financed with its own resources, and has three co-founders: Paula Miraglia, Renata Rizzi and Conrado Corsalette. Based in São Paulo, its team consists of 41 people with different backgrounds and skills, including journalism, social sciences, statistics, data science, design, technology, marketing and business.
