At the center of a typhoon or cyclone, the pressure is lower than in the surrounding area, so the high-pressure surrounding air pushes down on the seawater, and the air near the center sucks up the seawater, causing sea level to rise. It is said that if the atmospheric pressure drops by 1 hectopascal (hPa), the tide level will rise by about 1 centimeter.

This is a "high-resolution precipitation nowcast" that analyzes and predicts the distribution of precipitation areas with high resolution.
