Ballotics: Election Data & Map
The numbers behind American democracy — beautifully presented.
Ballotics 3.0 is a complete redesign. Cleaner. Deeper. More honest about what the data actually says. Whether you're tracking the 2026 midterms, replaying history back to 1788, or building your own 2028 electoral scenario, Ballotics gives you the tools serious observers use — without the spin.
WHAT'S NEW IN 3.0
NEW LOOK, BUILT FROM SCRATCH
A refined editorial aesthetic inspired by data journalism. Clean typography, an ink-on-parchment palette, and information-dense layouts that respect your intelligence. Less dashboard, more newsroom.
2026 MIDTERMS POLLING HUB
The most comprehensive midterm tracker we've built. Live polling averages for every Senate, House, and Governor race — updated nightly. Margin charts, poll-by-poll tables, battleground heat maps, and trend lines for every major contest. See where the map is moving.
FEC CAMPAIGN FINANCE
Follow the money. Ballotics integrates Federal Election Commission data directly into the race view. See total raised, cash on hand, and spending for every major candidate. Compare fundraising by state on a live choropleth map. Available for elections 2000–2026.
PRESIDENTIAL POLLING HUB
A dedicated screen for presidential approval polling — 30-day rolling averages, individual poll tables, historical approval arcs across administrations, the 2024 election polling arc, and the House generic ballot. Everything in one place, updated from real data nightly.
EVERYTHING ELSE
HISTORICAL ELECTION MAPS (1788–2024)
Every presidential election, color-coded by winner. Split electoral votes for Maine and Nebraska. County-level results for 2000–2024. Tap any state for its full result and electoral vote breakdown.
Switch to Census mode on any county map to layer demographic context directly over the results — median household income, college education rates, population, and median age from ACS estimates. See what kinds of places vote which way, and why.
INTERACTIVE 2028 MAP
Build your own path to 270. Tap states to assign electoral votes, watch the scoreboard update in real time, save multiple scenarios, and — if you build a 269–269 tie — explore exactly how a contingent House election would unfold under the Twelfth Amendment.
CONGRESS — LIVE AND IN DEPTH
Live chamber composition for both the House and Senate: seat counts by party, a majority threshold indicator, and an interactive chamber floor map or geographic district view that updates with current data.
Profiles for all 535 members of Congress — committee assignments, sponsored and cosponsored legislation, roll-call voting record, and full FEC fundraising detail: total raised, cash on hand, top individual contributors, top PAC contributions, and campaign disbursements. Leadership is pinned at the top of every member list so the Speaker, Majority Leaders, and Whips are never buried.
Enter your address once and Ballotics finds your two senators and your representative automatically, with direct links to call or write them.
NON-PARTISAN BY DESIGN
Ballotics presents data. It does not editorialize, predict, or push a viewpoint. Republican numbers and Democratic numbers get the same treatment. The data speaks; we just make it readable.
Ballotics (ba·luht·tiks). Read the numbers, not the noise.

What's new
VERSION 3.0 — THE REDESIGN DESIGN The entire app has been rebuilt with a new editorial aesthetic — data journalism, not dashboard software. Two typefaces define the look: Fraunces (a variable serif) for display text and big numbers, JetBrains Mono for every data label and statistic. The palette is warm and deliberate — ink on parchment, crimson for Republican, navy for Democrat, ochre for tossups — consistent across every screen. Every screen is organized around information hierarchy, not chrome. Cards are sized by importance. Sparklines use Swift Charts with monotone interpolation. The election map runs on Canvas with hardware-accelerated CGPath rendering and a geometry cache that eliminates per-frame recalculation. iPad layouts expand into wide two-column arrangements; the data never just scales up — it reorganizes. FEC FINANCE — ELECTIONS A Money view now sits alongside Results and Counties for every election 2000–2026. A state choropleth maps fundraising geography using a dive…
