The Amsterdam Canal Festival allows a wide audience in a different way to learn about classical music and thereby gives space to young talent at special locations.

The Amsterdam Canal Festival covers a broad spectrum and does not aware of an instrument or musical flow. This method of presentation is the ability to follow young talent for several years and offer them a platform to measure. The Amsterdam Canal Festival passes this way every year a good impression of Dutch classical musical talent and musical development of these musicians.

Renowned soloists and ensembles set unprecedented combinations, inspired by a different theme each year, especially for the festival concert programs together. Additionally charged for premieres are of (parts of) programs later in the season on stages are carried out elsewhere in the country.

The combination of location and repertoire of classical music, performed to a high level, presented in an accessible way. That's what the Canal is unique in the world.

The Junior Canal Festival, with productions for babies and toddlers to teenagers, is part of the event. Every year new playing locations are added. Many concerts are free or available at a low price of admission.
