Kisan Sarathi

Kisan Sarathi Farmer App is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). It is implemented by Digital India Corporation (DIC) and the Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute (IASRI).

The app connects farmers with agricultural experts, enabling them to receive region-specific, multimedia advisories on agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, and fisheries. It also provides weather updates, market prices, and information on government schemes through integration with various public platforms. The Kisan Sarathi Farmer App aims to empower farmers through personalised support, expert consultations, and knowledge sharing.

Key Features:

· Raise Query to Expert: Ask commodity-specific questions by selecting crop/livestock/fisheries images and track the query status.

· Push Messages: Receive SMS and multimedia advisories from KVK experts in your local language.

· Call to Expert: Directly call KCC or KVK experts to discuss agriculture-related queries.

· Scheme Information: Access the latest details of central and state government agricultural schemes tailored to your region and crop.

· Weather Updates and Market Prices: Stay informed with weather forecasts and market prices from authentic sources.

· Profile Management: Update your profile with crops of interest and location to receive relevant advisories and alerts.

· Helpdesk Support: Raise grievances or technical issues through the integrated helpdesk ticketing system.
