Fahrplanalarm collects messages from various online sources and provides information via push notifications and a user-customized overview of delays in local public transport (ÖPNV) in Hamburg and the surrounding area. This includes filtering by route and selecting information sources, as well as real-time data from operators.

Information from social media, official interfaces, websites, etc., as well as real-time information from many companies from various, even unofficial, sources, is processed. This includes HVV, VBB, VVS, Hochbahn, S-Bahn, BVG, AKN, ODEG, HADAG, EVG, VHH, U-Bahn, KViP, and many others.

The data is collected automatically and not checked for accuracy. Incorrectly recognized data, especially from social networks, may also occur, as well as unrecognized data. The detection mechanism is constantly being improved.

The app provides disruption information from all available regions, as well as some neighboring areas.
