Kids Doctor is an online medical consultation service for sick children and their parents. The app offers three features: [Online Consultation] allowing you to receive a doctor's examination from home via smartphone; [Chat Health Consultation] allowing you to consult with a nurse about your child's health via chat; and [Home Care Book] providing information on how to care for your child's healthcare at home. Please use it as a support system for parents raising their children.

・When your child suddenly becomes ill and you want to take them to the hospital, but it's difficult to adjust work or family schedules immediately.

・When it's difficult or stressful to take siblings to the hospital or pediatrician.

・When it's difficult to go to the hospital or pediatrician due to bad weather or lack of transportation.

・When parents are also feeling unwell or are likely to become ill.

■ What Kids Doctor can do and its features

* You can receive a doctor's consultation at any time, including during the day, at night, and on holidays.

* You can receive a doctor's consultation anywhere, such as your child's bedroom, your living room at home, or your accommodation while traveling. (*1)

* Doctors and nurses who understand children and parenting situations will listen to your concerns and provide individualized care.

* Using video calls, we will discuss the situation through conversation and observe your child's condition via video.

* Health insurance and child medical expense subsidies are applicable. There are no costs other than the consultation fee. (*2)

* A certificate of attendance can be issued in your specified format. If no format is specified, it will be issued in the Kids Doctor format.

* If the doctor deems it necessary, a prescription can be issued.

* Prescriptions will be faxed to your designated pharmacy (*3). You can pick up your medication after the prescription arrives at the pharmacy.

* Available to individuals aged 4 months to 69 years. Suitable for both children and adults.

*1: Please use in an indoor location with good signal strength where privacy is ensured.

*2: If medication is prescribed, the cost of the medication and transportation to the pharmacy will be charged separately.

*3: Please check the app for a list of participating pharmacies.

Online consultations are provided by active doctors working at affiliated medical institutions. They hold medical licenses and registration certificates of completion of medical clinical training; no junior residents are employed. Nurses are licensed registered nurses.

He trained at university hospitals and children's hospitals. He also engaged in research on fetal treatment of diaphragmatic hernia in Canada. His specialty is pediatric surgical diseases. He is a father of two.

・Tsuyoshi Kurokawa

Certified Surgeon by the Japan Surgical Society, Certified Emergency Medicine Specialist by the Japanese Association for Emergency Medicine. Graduated from Kobe University School of Medicine in 2001. Completed initial residency training at Nishikobe Medical Center. After working in tertiary emergency care at Hyogo Prefectural Disaster Medical Center, began working at a Japanese clinic in Singapore in 2018. Completed general practice training at the National University of Singapore's General Practice Postgraduate Education Course, and currently provides initial care for children and adults.

* Seiji Tanaka

Certified Pediatrician and Instructor of the Japan Pediatric Society, and Clinical Training Instructor certified by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Currently works in the Department of Pediatrics at Kurume University Hospital in Fukuoka Prefecture, specializing in nephrology, urology, and immunology/collagen diseases. Has been treating nocturnal enuresis for 20 years and serves as a council member for domestic pediatric nephrology and urology societies.

Worked at an emergency medical center capable of accepting pediatric emergencies, where she learned the importance of triage, pediatric emergency care, and family nursing while confronting the preciousness of life. Completed BLS and ICLS. Subsequently, she strongly felt the sanctity of life in a palliative care ward and provides thorough, compassionate nursing care. Currently, as a Kids Doctor Operations Manager, I support staff and communicate procedures to ensure safe and high-quality medical care.

■Regarding Medication Collection

If the doctor deems it necessary during the online consultation, a prescription will be issued. The prescription will be faxed to the pharmacy you specify within the app, allowing you to pick up your medication at a time convenient for you, such as during childcare breaks or on your way home from work.

You can register your frequently used pharmacies as favorites, making medication arrangements smoother on subsequent visits.

■Regarding Fees

(Online Consultation)

・Health insurance and child medical expense subsidies are applicable. There are no usage fees other than the consultation fee.

・Residents of certain areas may need to apply for reimbursement of child medical expense subsidies.

・Payment is by credit card only (bank transfer and barcode payment are not accepted).

*Please check within the app if you live in an area where reimbursement procedures for child medical expense subsidies are not required.

*Medication costs, transportation costs to the pharmacy, etc. are not included.

*Chat health consultations are free.

*There is a limit of 3 consultations every 3 months (one consultation slot will be re-granted 1 month after your last use).

■How to Use Online Medical Consultations

(1) Book an Online Medical Consultation via the App

Answer the questionnaire and wait for a call from an operator.

While waiting, please keep your smartphone within range of the notification and remain calm.

(2) Receive a Consultation

You will be notified via the app when it is your turn for the consultation. Please receive your consultation via video call.

(3) If a Prescription Issuance Is Required, Receive Medication at the Pharmacy

If the doctor determines it is necessary during the consultation, a prescription will be issued. Please specify a convenient pharmacy on the app and receive your medication.

■How to Use Chat Health Consultations

(1) Book via the App

Answer the questionnaire and wait for a call from an operator. While you wait, please keep your smartphone within sight of notifications and try to remain calm.

(2) Consult with a nurse via chat

A nurse will contact you via chat based on your medical history. Please feel free to consult with them.
