Dizionario LIS

The historic DVD Bilingual Dictionary of Italian Sign Language, the result of more than 10 years of research

by a working group composed of Mauro Mottinelli, Emilio Insolera and Elena Radutzky and built in

2001 by Editions Lismedia - Euromedia Srl, is finally available for popular mobile devices in the world.

The signs on the move is the only real dictionary that allows the display of the correct execution of each sign and

improves learning vocabulary in LIS.

The scientific value of this Dictionary is derived from the amount of information accompanying the films of the signs: other meanings, notes, synonyms and variations related to the search word.

Unlike many other products in movement - which, even if free, sometimes reveal only

glossaries - The signs in motion is a real dictionary for the quantity and quality of information

including that each bilingual dictionary should contain: equivalent words in Italian, synonyms and variants phonological in LIS, notes regarding the contexts of use and additional information.

The APP is designed to be always in evolution and expansion: will be regularly published numerous

appendages of renovation to further enrich the work that currently contains over 3300 entries and over

600 sentences for signs which have more than one meaning, providing the appropriate contexts of use.

Following will be published regularly appendices issues, addressed to both children and adults.

The application interface is fully accessible thanks to the double search of signs. A

After selecting the "Dictionary" you can choose to type the word in Italian in the bar

search and view the video of the sign corresponding, or by selecting "Alphabetical search" you can

choose a letter and browse the alphabetical list of words in Italian. By clicking on the word is activated

the movie of the corresponding sign.

The lemmas which is associated a sentence of context are highlighted in orange.

Below the video shows all additional information: sentence (if connected to the word choice), other

meanings, notes, synonyms and variations related to the word searched.

Signs synonyms are sorted according to the degree of spread of the variant. Are also reported some

regional variation of the most popular signs.

The last pane includes translations of the Italian word in a foreign language (English, French, German and Spanish).

Use this application is really very easy and allows you to carry it with you on your device

preferred mobile, and to consult the dictionary anywhere!
