What you can do without a subscription

• Scan from the Home hero card to capture documents with the camera and add them to your workflow.

• Use the Document tab to browse PDFs you already created and open them for preview.

• Use the Photos tab to pick images in order and continue to build a multi-page PDF (when your build allows this flow without a paywall).

What a subscription unlocks on Home

The following Home shortcuts require an active subscription: Merge, OCR, Reduce (smaller file size), From File (import PDFs from Files), Secure (PIN-protected vault for sensitive copies), QR (scan codes and act on the result), and Voice to Text (live dictation with on-device speech recognition; refine the transcript, then use Next to render text into pages and export through your existing PDF editing flow).

A practical field “packet” workflow (subscriber)

1.Scan paper forms and signatures.

2.In Photos, add site pictures in sequence and export a second PDF if needed.

3.Voice to Text for meeting or site notes; edit text, then Next to generate printable pages.

4.QR to capture links or serials for cross-checking with paperwork.

5.Merge separate scans into one submission file.

6.Reduce before sending over chat or email.

7.OCR when you need selectable text from images.

8.Move sensitive contracts into Secure so they stay separate from everyday files.

9.From File to pull in PDFs you received elsewhere and keep everything in one library.

Permissions

Camera for scanning; photo library for image import; microphone and speech recognition for Voice to Text—only when you use those features.
