Focuslocks helps you stick to your own focus rules.
You choose which apps distract you. You choose when you want them blocked. Focuslocks adds a small, deliberate pause between your impulse and the app — just enough friction to break the autopilot of opening Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, or anything else you keep reaching for without thinking.
Why Focuslocks is different
Most blocking apps either let you cheat in two taps or punish you with rigid timers you can't override. Focuslocks takes a calmer approach: when you try to open a blocked app during your chosen schedule, it shows you a PAUSE screen and gives you two honest choices.
• Conscious unlock — a 67-second pause and a short reflection phrase. Free. Designed to interrupt the impulse, not to punish you.
• Quick unlock — a 7-minute pass for 0.99 USD, when you genuinely need to reply to something now. Paid through Google Play Billing.
This way you stay in control. You are never locked out forever, but you are also never one tap away from losing another hour.
How it works
1. Pick the apps you want to block.
2. Set up to three daily focus schedules — for example morning deep work, afternoon study time, evening wind-down.
3. During an active schedule, opening a blocked app shows the Focuslocks pause screen.
4. Choose Conscious unlock or Quick unlock. Or simply close the app and move on with your day.
Privacy you can trust
Focuslocks is built around a simple promise: this is your tool, not a surveillance tool.
• We read only the package name of the app you currently have open, so we can tell if it is in your personal block list.
• We never read screen content, text, browsing history, contacts, messages, location, credentials, or financial data.
• All your settings and history stay on your device.
• Nothing leaves your phone.
The Accessibility permission is used strictly to detect when a blocked app comes to the foreground during a schedule you have set. The persistent notification you see while a schedule is active simply means Focuslocks is keeping the protection alive in the background.
Who it is for
• People who want to spend less time on social media without uninstalling everything.
• Students and remote workers who need uninterrupted focus blocks.
• Anyone trying to build healthier digital habits, one small pause at a time.
Focuslocks will not fix attention by force. It will give you a moment to choose, every time you reach for an app you said you wanted to use less. That moment is usually enough.
Set your own limits. Keep your own promises. Reclaim your attention.
