[Terms of Use for Smartphone App]

Japan System Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "our company") hereby establishes the following terms of use (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") for the use of the smartphone application "UNIPA Ver. 2" (hereinafter referred to as "this app") provided by our company.

Article 1: Agreement to Terms

1. Users of this app (hereinafter referred to as "Users") must agree to these Terms before using this app.

Article 2: Users

1. Users are limited to students enrolled at universities that have implemented UNIVERSAL PASSPORT and have signed up for the smartphone app product in advance.

Article 3: Usage Environment and Operating Environment

1. Users are responsible for preparing, at their own expense, the software, mobile device, communication equipment, communication lines, and other environment necessary to use this app (including downloading this app).

2. Users are responsible for any communication charges incurred in connection with using this app (including downloading this app).

3. The launch of this App may be restricted in the following cases:

(1) Some parts of this App utilize device functions that require the user's permission for use, but the user does not grant permission.

(2) The App is used in a location without an Internet connection.

4. Incorrect data may be displayed for this App in the following cases:

(1) Multiple users use this App on a single device.

Article 4: Intellectual Property Rights

1. All copyrights, trademarks, patents, design rights, know-how, and other intellectual property rights related to this App belong to the Company or third parties with legitimate authority, and no rights are granted to the User.

Article 5: Discontinuation, Changes, etc. of the Provision of this App

1. The Company reserves the right to change, add to, or improve the content of this App, in whole or in part, at any time as appropriate, without the User's prior consent.

2. The Company may terminate provision or updates of this App without prior notice.

Article 6: Disclaimers, etc.

1. The Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by the User arising from the User's use of the App or from the User's inability to use the App.

2. The Company may, at its sole discretion, change or modify the specifications of the App, change the distribution method, etc., or terminate the license. The Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by the User as a result.

3. The Company shall not be liable for any loss of registered data due to the User changing their device or due to a malfunction of their device.

Article 7: Prohibited Acts

1. Users shall not engage in the following acts when using the App.

(1) Any act that violates these Terms of Use.

(2) Any act that violates laws, regulations, or ordinances.

(3) Any act that interferes with the provision of this App.

(4) Any criminal act, any act that is linked to or encourages a criminal act, or any act that could potentially result in such a criminal act.

(5) Any act that damages the credibility of this App, or any act that could potentially result in such a criminal act.

(6) Any profit-making activity using this App, or any act that is preparatory to such a commercial activity.

(7) Any act that infringes or could potentially infringe the rights and interests of our company or any third party.

(8) Any act of copying this App, in whole or in part, except for the case where this App is installed for personal use.

(9) Any act of modifying, altering, disassembling, decompiling, reverse engineering, or otherwise altering this App.

(10) Any act of selling, leasing, transferring, or distributing this App, its content, or its usage rights to a third party.

(11) Any other act that violates public order and morals, or any act that our company deems inappropriate.

2. If our company incurs damages as a result of a user's actions listed in the preceding paragraph, the user may be required to bear all or part of such damages.

Article 8: Handling of Privacy-Related Information

1. Depending on the features provided by this App, you may be required to enter personal information such as gender and date of birth. The personal information you enter will not be used for purposes other than those within this App and UNIVERSAL PASSPORT.

2. Depending on the features provided by this App, you may be required to access photos, etc. The information obtained through this access will not be used for purposes other than displaying it within this App.

3. In order to respond to inquiries, we may request personal information from you, such as your name and email address. This personal information will not be used for purposes other than responding to your inquiries.

4. We will not provide any third party with the personal information you enter through this App, the information obtained by this App through access to your device, or the information you provide to us in response to inquiries.

Article 9: Handling of Feedback, etc.

1. Any feedback, opinions, or requests you provide regarding this Service are entirely voluntary, and we may use such feedback, opinions, or requests as we deem appropriate, without any obligation to you.

Article 10: Changes to Terms of Use

1. We reserve the right to revise these Terms, in whole or in part, at any time without the user's consent or notice. Use of the App after any changes to these Terms constitutes consent to the revised Terms.

Article 11: Governing Law and Jurisdiction

1. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan.

2. If any doubts or disputes arise between us regarding the App or these Terms, we will negotiate in good faith. If the dispute remains unresolved, the Osaka District Court or the Osaka Summary Court shall be the exclusive court of first instance.
