drift. is a private portfolio tracker and rebalancing app for index fund and ETF investors who hold a target asset allocation, and want to stay on it without a spreadsheet.
Plan a full rebalance, update every holding in under a minute, import your spreadsheet in one paste, and watch your Score trend over time.
No account, no sync, no subscription, no ads. Nothing ever leaves your phone.
Plan the exact trades
Rebalance mode builds a whole-dollar plan that gets you back to your target allocation with zero new money: sells fund the buys, down to the dollar. Adding cash or drawing it down? Top-up and Withdraw modes plan those too, with a buy-only toggle when you would rather not sell. Set optional limits: a minimum per trade or a cap on the number of trades. Every plan shows a before/after view and a shareable trade card for your broker.
One Score for your whole plan
A single 0-100 Score tells you how closely your portfolio matches its target allocation. Tolerance bands flag each holding Watch as it nears your limit and Rebalance once it breaches. Pick Conservative, Balanced or Loose in one tap; Balanced is the Boglehead 5/25 rule, with custom bands to tune both thresholds. Rebalance on rules, not on emotion.
Replace the spreadsheet
Paste a table straight from Google Sheets or Excel, or import a CSV file, and drift. reads the columns and builds your portfolio for you. It even reads headerless sheets and group headings, and asks about anything ambiguous instead of guessing. Check-in Mode updates every holding in under a minute: prefilled value fields, a shares × price helper, and a live running total. CSV export is always available.
Remember every check-in
Every check-in and every rebalance is saved as a snapshot. Tap View history for a Score and value sparkline over time, your last-rebalanced date, and what moved between snapshots.
Structure it your way
A full-width allocation strip on the home screen shows every holding's weight, a thin bar per holding, and no cut-off names. Set group targets and two-level asset allocation (60% equities, of which 70/30 US and international) like nested pies, and reuse groups you named before. Keep multiple portfolios for taxable, pension and crypto, each with its own targets and bands. Six languages, dark mode, and your local currency throughout.
Private by design
drift. keeps everything on-device. There is no network code, no analytics, no tracking, no sign-up. Nothing to leak: nothing is ever sent. Your data exports freely and is never held hostage. For a finance app, that is the whole point.
