A chart analysis technique originating in Japan, systematized by Honma Munehisa, a rice market trader from the Edo period. This is a traditional technical analysis method based on five basic patterns: Three Mountains, Three Rivers, Three Gaps, Three Soldiers, and Three Methods. Even today, traders worldwide utilize these patterns, such as "Head and Shoulders" and "Triple Bottom," and they are considered the origin of all chart analysis.
