Swimming in natural water, where can you swim and is it clean and safe? This app gives you an overview of more than 900 outdoor swimming locations in the Netherlands.

This swimming water app provides information about the quality and safety of official outdoor swimming locations during the bathing season (1 May to 1 October). All data from water boards, provinces and Rijkswaterstaat are collected here in one place. This way you always have the most up-to-date information. You can immediately check the quality and safety of swimming water in your area via the swimming water map or the easy search function. You can also immediately see which facilities are available at this location.

Disclaimer

During the bathing season, the quality and safety of the water at official swimming water locations is checked. You can see in the app when the check was carried out and when the next check is. Based on these checks, a notification is issued with advice on whether or not to go swimming. You can then decide for yourself whether or not to go swimming, unless a ban has been issued. If you decide to go swimming despite a warning or negative swimming advice, you run a greater risk of health problems. It is always wise to shower after swimming in natural water. Outside the bathing season, swimming water is not tested.
