–No ads. No subscriptions. No in-app purchases. Ever.–
You pay once and own the app completely. No paywalls, no premium tiers, no features locked behind a subscription. Everything described here is included.
–Random Student Draw Sessions–
Draw a random student instantly. Score their response with one tap using one of seven built-in scoring scales. See at a glance who's been called, who's volunteered, who's asked questions, and who's been absent — across every class, every session, for a week, a unit, or the whole year.
–Participation tracking that actually helps–
Every time you draw a student name to call on, and every time a student raises their hand for a comment or question, ClassCaller logs it with your choice of score. Over time you'll see patterns — who gets called most, who never volunteers, who asks the deepest questions. That data helps you make sure every student gets a fair chance to engage.
–Flexible scoring–
Choose from 7 scoring systems : 0–5, 1–5, 0–1, Yes/No, 1–10, or description based scales like Needs work/Developing/Proficient/Mastery, and Beginning/Developing/Proficient/Exemplary. Set a default in the settings or change it at the start of any session.
–Sessions that work the way you teach–
Choose with replacement to keep students in the pool and set a gap to control how soon the same student can repeat — or choose without replacement to call each student at most once per session.. If a student raises their hand even when not randomly chosen, you can still keep track of who volunteered an answer or a question without interrupting the random draw session. Absent students can be marked the first time their name is drawn and they won't be drawn again unless you reinstate them mid-session. Choose to auto-advance to the next draw after recording a response, or to wait until you decide to draw another.
–Random groups with constraints–
Choose a size and generate random student groups in seconds. Use three different separation badges to keep specific students apart during random grouping. Mark students absent on the group selection page if you don't want them grouped. Groups persist until you regenerate them, and you can set or reset groups for each class period whenever you want.
–Full participation history–
Tap any student to see their complete record — times drawn, average scores, volunteer totals, question levels, skips, and absences. Toggle between all-time and since-last-clear. Export everything into a spreadsheet (CSV file) — session detail and student summary — for any session, class, or all classes at once.
–Also includes–
10 color themes with full light and dark mode. Detailed instruction pages. Optional (but incredible) Galaxy Watch companion app for wrist-based drawing, scoring, and tracking so you don't even have to carry your phone. Type in classes and students if you want, or do a roster import from a spreadsheet (CSV file) to get all classes and all of your students into the app quickly. Works completely offline — your data stays on your device until you are ready to export it for your own use.
